As I sit here, my perch on the 21st floor, and look across the river to the skyline, I listen to what is arguably one of the seminal ambient albums - Harold Budd and Brian Eno's "The Pearl." Such beauty in this music - particularly the sparse piano keys echoing over the crickets in "A Stream With Bright Fish" (which may as well be a narcotic). You need only close your eyes and fall backwards.
This is the first true day of spring, warmth and blue skies. When I imagine peace, I imagine this weather, this sun, this music. I know I am not alone.

The Beginning
I have developed two habits over the past eight years: photographing industrial spaces (loading docks and parking lots), and listening to ambient music. To me, the two are inseparable.
I hope that this will become a place where I can discuss both.
